Day 1: London to Amsterdam

Participants gather at departure point at 7.30am for loading purposes. We depart from Park Lane, London (click here for departure details) at 8am sharp! and travel down to Dover, from here we either take the ferry across to France or travel under the sea via the Channel Tunnel (depending on availability). We’ll transit through France and Belgium to Holland and its capital, Amsterdam. Opportunity to head into town tonight or rest and get to know each other over delicious dinner. B,L,D

Day 2: Amsterdam and Volendam

After breakfast, we drive to the picturesque Dutch fishing and cheese village of Volendam. We will be given demonstrations of cheese and clog making as well as on diamond. Holland is famous for Diamond cutting. Why not try the variation of seafood and have your picture taken in a traditional Dutch costume. You also have the opportunity of standing on the dam (barrier built along Holland to hold back sea water) and marvel at the fact that most of Holland is below sea level. Don't forget to pose for a memorable picture by the windmills. Visit to Volendam will be replace by special visit to Keukenhof Tulip farm as tulips are in season (4 - 12 April). Starting from noon we spend the rest of the day (and night if you wish) in Amsterdam city centre. You can take a boat ride by the many canals, shopping for tulips, visit the Ann Frank's Museum, collect another of your Hard Rock Café's T-shirt or take a peek at the infamous red light district. Day 3: Amsterdam to Brussels

We head south to Brussels this morning and begin our sightseeing at the 'Mini-Europe'. As the scale is 1:25, everyone will feel like giants strolling around the highlights of Europe such as the Big Ben, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Eiffel Tower and the Bull Ring in Seville, Spain (complete with Olé!). You can also wonder inside the 'Atomium', a cluster of giant spheres representing the atomic model of an iron molecule enlarged 165 billion times. We will then visit Brussels town centre to see the Grand Place - a medieval square and the statue of Mannekin-pis. In the evening we will camp in Belgium. B,L,D

Day 4: Luxembourg to Lauterbrunnen & the Swiss Alps

In the morning we spend a few hours taking in the sight of the Grand Duchy's 1000-year-old capital - the Luxembourg City with its composed blend of old and new interesting sites. Your tour guide will guide you into town showing the two main squares, the Grand Palace and beautiful valleys where you’ll see the Bock Casemates caves used by 30000 people to hide from bombings during the world wars. We then continue our journey to Switzerland. We'll play a few interesting games whilst travelling, watch a movie on video and enjoy the spectacular view as we climb the magnificent Alps to our campsite, situated in a valley surrounded by gigantic mountains and spectacular waterfalls - Lauterbrunnen. Day 5: Lauterbrunnen & the Swiss Alps
You have a full day to explore the mountains. The optional Jungfrau excursion offers you breathtaking views as you take the cog railway up into the mountains to the summit of the Jungfrau Mountain (3454m), a scenic journey taking nearly 3 hours. Whilst at the summit beside the incredible views you can explore the ice palace, and if the weather is fine try your hand at skiing or enjoy a dog sledge ride. For those not taking the excursion to the Jungfrau you can visit the unique Trummmelbach falls (10 amazing waterfalls in a cave) or hike the many trails. (Remember to bring your sunglasses, jacket and suitable footwear if you are planning to venture into the mountains). B,L,D

Day 6: Lauterbrunnen to Paris

Our journey continues along the Alps as we make our way through the spectacular scenery, travelling along the cliffs, passing beautiful Lakes before arriving at the contrast, busy city of Paris during the rush hour. B,L,D

Day 7: Paris

Our day starts with a sightseeing tour that will include such famous landmarks as the Notre Dame Cathedral, Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower, to name but a few. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the sights on your own, maybe take in the view over the city from the top of the Eiffel Tower, or visit one of the numerous art museums such as the Louvre for Leonardo Da Vinci's 'Mona Lisa'. In the evening you'll go for a romantic river cruise to see Paris by night. For those who have been to Paris before, we can show you the many parts of Paris you have not discovered! B,D

 

Day 8: Paris - Disneyland Paris Option

Option of a full day to enjoy the thrills and spills of the rides at Disneyland Paris as you explore the complex. Alternatively you can continue to explore the big city of Paris. We recommend visiting the magnificent Palace of Versailles, the skyscrapers in La Defence or the Cite Des Science un Industrie. B,D

Day 9: Paris to London

After breakfast we make our way out of Paris and travel through to the Port of Calais, from here we take the ferry across to Dover or take the Channel Tunnel and finally to London. We expect to arrive in London around 5pm. The drop-off points are normally Victoria Station and Park Lane. B,L

Full refund will be given if changes made to the dates of departure do not fit in with your plans or we have to cancel any trip due to circumstances beyond our control or the original plan is not feasible.
